Our Covid 19 Procedures


Below is Our above and beyond our already stringent cleaning and sanitizing policies that have always been in place. We have been historically highly rated by the Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health.


As we have all heard by now, the most important thing we can do to prevent transmission of the virus is proper and frequent handwashing. The following handwashing procedures have been a foundation of our food handling procedures since we opened 26 years ago.

Our Hand Washing Procedures

All employees must wash hands vigorously for 20 seconds with soap and warm water paying particular attention to under fingernails and between fingers:

– Before the shift
– After working with raw foods
– After sweeping or any type of cleaning
– After picking up anything from the floor
– After taking out the garbage
– Twice after going to the bathroom (once in bathroom then in kitchen)
– After a break and before we return to work
– If a customer requests an employee to
– A minimum of every 30 minutes
– we actually use timer clocks
– Every time we touch our hair or face
– After sneezing, coughing, or blowing our nose
– Every time we change gloves

Facility Procedures & New Customer Hand Sanitizing Stations

– We are washing down the entire facility with quat based sanitizing solution first thing every morning. Kitchen, Cook line, Dining Room (including tables and chairs), Bathrooms, Patio (including tables and chairs)
– We have purchased a new no rinse sanitizing multi-surface wipe (Sani Pro Table Turners) to use on table tops, all cash order areas, bar tops, salsa bar zones, all interior and exterior door handles
– We have added hand sanitizing stations to all stores for customer use

– We have scheduled times through the day where we change out all of our service utensils to be washed and sanitized in the kitchen, salsa bar, bar and cash counter
– We have asked all our purveyors to get on board and have drivers sanitize their hands before bringing in deliveries
